More than half of people with cancer will receive radiation therapy during their cancer treatment and one of the most common side effects is a skin condition called radiation dermatitis, a condition which can range from a mild, red rash and itchy, peeling, or flaking skin to a more severe reaction with blisters and wet, peeling skin. Regardless of the severity, it's a painful side effect most undergoing therapy struggle with soothing.

 

5 years ago, a woman came to us with the request to craft a lotion to calm and soothe her highly irritated skin. The result for her was almost immediate. She returned the next day for, not only more samples to leave in the lobby of her radiation therapy office, but also a 32 oz. jar for herself. Her gratitude at finding relief for her symptoms without resorting to more chemicals was overwhelming for us.
